Stan Frantz returned to Punta Hermosa, Peru after 30 years. Huge changes on land. Lots more surfers in the water. But the waves remain the same, pumping day after day after day.

Stan Frantz '71 solo truck camping trip to Nova Scotia in September (at age 56, after 10yrs out of the water and 4 months after open heart surgery). It doesn't always look this good, it was flat the rest of the time I was there. and on weekends the main beach is crowded with 100s of wannabes crashing into each other. but on Monday 9/14 I dawn patrolled to find empty break after break of offshore head high plus perfection.
It was warm enough to trunk it on the windless days that week, but it gets really cold! Deadly cold.
